Velvet Valentine

Hope you all had a wonderful time with your valentine. This Vday was pretty awesome as it fell on a long weekend. We headed to one of our favorite date spots, Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. We love the place for its serenity, breathtaking views and not to mention the amazing dining experience with some great ocean views. I would highly recommend this place if you would like to enjoy a fabuluxe and relaxing getaway.

For that beautiful evening, I chose to wear this crushed velvet maxi dress from Forever 21. This was a cheap and chic find and my initial plan was to style it as a winter boho outfit with some chunky boots, gypsy jewelries, and a black hat. But, it’s rich, luxurious and touch-me quality made me style it as an evening dress. Even though crushed velvet reminds me of the 90’s, I love it for it’s flattering texture, posh pick me up look, versatility and not to mention it goes perfectly well in winter weather. The rich burgundy color, bodice cutouts, self tie halter straps, v-neckline, and bodycon fit of this dress makes it a perfect & romantic evening maxi. I paired it with a gold clutch, Jimmy Choo heels, and some statement accessories and, finished off my look with a fancy braided updo & soft pink lips.
