Viva la Velvet !!!

Velvet is having a huge moment as far as Fall’16 fashion is concerned. This quintessentially 90’s trend has made a major comeback and has literally ruled the runways all around the world. And to up the ante, this time around it’s not just on a dress or evening wear but this lustrous luxe fabric can also be found on booties, bags and accessories.

I have been impatiently waiting for autumn to show up so that I can play with this “It fabric”. Must say it not only gives you a super sultry look but also helps you keep warm on those cool weather days. Velvet can be a bit tricky while styling, and for those who don’t like to go with an all-velvet ensemble can always opt for velvet pieces such as  jacket, tops or even OTK boots. Since, I love mixing prints and textures, I styled this frilled velvet top (ZARA) with a midi skirt (ZARA) that has floral prints all over it and finished off my look with a statement velvet choker (F21) and a pair of embellished sandals (Catwalk).
